Trisa's life left behind something that cannot be measured only through photographs, dates, or memories. She left love.
In her memory, our family is carrying that love forward through The Light She Left, a memorial outreach operated under the Hearts & Hands ministry.
How Donations Will Be Used
Donations made through The Light She Left will be received and administered by Hearts & Hands.
The funds will be used to provide thoughtful acts of care for people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, financial hardship, loneliness, personal crisis, or circumstances that leave them feeling unseen or forgotten.
Help may include something as simple as sharing a cup of coffee or a meal, listening to someone who needs to be heard, helping with transportation, groceries, clothing, hygiene supplies, or quietly assisting with another practical need.
Every situation will be different. Our purpose is to notice the person in front of us, understand what might genuinely help, and respond with wisdom, care, and dignity.

Why This Exists
A person does not have to lose everything before they deserve kindness.
Sometimes love looks like a warm meal, a cup of coffee shared in conversation, clean clothing, transportation assistance, help during a personal crisis, or simply taking the time to listen without judgment.
The purpose is to notice the person in front of us, understand what might genuinely help, and respond with wisdom, care, and dignity.
Carried Forward by Her Family
The Light She Left is the first memorial outreach carried out through Hearts & Hands.
It will be led by Trisa's children and grandchildren as a family. Together, we will use the donations entrusted to this outreach to offer thoughtful acts of care to people who need help, encouragement, companionship, or simply the reminder that they have not been forgotten.
This is also an opportunity to teach the next generation how to notice the needs of others, respond with compassion, and continue sharing the love Trisa gave to her family.
We want our children to understand that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and love, not because they have earned it, but because they matter and because God loves them.
In this way, Trisa's family will not only remember the love she gave. We will practice it, share it, and teach it to continue through the generations.

Our Dignity Commitment
The Light She Left exists to help people feel seen, loved, and remembered. It is not being created for promotional purposes.
We will never treat another person's hardship as promotional content.
Personal stories and identifiable photographs will only be shared with appropriate permission. No one should feel pressured to tell their story, pose for a photograph, or publicly reveal what they are going through in order to receive kindness or assistance.
Whenever possible, financial updates will focus on what was provided, how donated funds were used, and the overall impact of the outreach without exposing private details about the people receiving help.
The dignity of the person being helped will always matter more than documenting the help.
A Living Memorial
Trisa's memorial will not end when the service concludes. Every meal shared, every cup of coffee purchased, every person listened to, every need quietly met, and every person reminded that they matter will become another place where the light she left continues to shine.
Through grief, we will choose love.
Through remembrance, we will choose action.
